Sonja Jacob | Founder & Chief Creative Officer
Sonja has fond memories of being obsessed with words and ideas since the tender age of nine, when she designed and published her class newspaper using a felt tip marker, a ruler, and an ornery “copy machine” (this was before the advent of the personal computer and the Internet). Although the medium continues to change, Sonja’s desire to convey ideas and share stories has only grown over time. Passionate about culture and the creative process, she approaches her work from a multi-disciplinary perspective, drawing on her extensive background as a copywriter, creative strategist and video producer.

Amir Learner | Project Cultivator
Amir combines his background in business and music to manage your creative project with enthusiasm and efficiency. When not taking care of business at The Cultivated Word, Amir can be found either on a golf course or perfecting his DJ skills.

Kaleb Coleman | Lead Motion Designer
Kaleb is a motion designer hailing from Seattle, Washington. Skilled in animation and obsessed with design, Kaleb joined The Cultivated Word in 2009; since then, he’s been lending his vivid imagination to the production of many viral videos. He finds inspiration for all his work in the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, music and by participating in various events related to the beardwork movement.
